DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE & PIN

Governors Message
“Together We Serve Better”. Alone we can do little
but together we can do more and better. The
communities’ needs are extensive. A single club will
not be able to cover everything and will not be able
to make a visible impact to the communities. More
hands mean more services. When we bring more
hands together, we will not only do much, but we
can also do better and make a meaningful impact to
the communities extensively.

It is natural that, in any club, some members take initiatives, while others
stay in the sideline hoping to get engaged but without taking action. But,
as Lions, we are different. We challenge ourselves to do and do more.
To accomplish our ambitious goals, we all must pull together, roll up our
sleeves, and put in the work to make the impossible possible. Yet, we do
it with a big smile because this is how we live, this how we serve, and this
is how we are as Lions.
Achieving Great Things together – When we carry that spirit of
togetherness out into the communities, great things happen. When our
clubs grow, so does the kindness we bring. It takes healthy clubs to keep
our service going, our members happy and our communities strong.
When we invite family, friends, and neighbors to join us, we increase our
impact. We can have more fun together.

DG pin is a symbol of togetherness carrying DG’s
slogan “Together We Serve Better”. Our national flag
gently flies over our Himalayas, signifying unity, care,
and love. The pin also signifies deep sense of shared
belonging amidst the geographical diversity – glorious
white Himalayas in the north, green hills in the middle, and fertile plain in
the south. The pin stands on a strong foundation of significant landmarks
that symbolizes decades of hard work and persistence to create an
enduring national pride.
The message of DG pin is that, despite of the geographical difference, we
share humanity, have faith for each other, care for each other, elevate our
country’s status and impact all over the world, and rise to the top of the
world in all aspects -- membership, service and leadership!!!!
