3.2 Communication
This will be a key element for our success for our district this year. We
would like to reach out to every individual lion of our district. We want each
lion to stay informed on district, national, and international level activities.
We believe that, doing so, will keep our members engaged, ultimately
helping us retain more members. One of the main reasons of membership
drop is membership dissatisfaction that results from not getting involved.
We enroll members and leave them on their own – without orientation
and on-boarding. Without this, new members may not be informed of all
the engagement opportunities, thus leading to attrition.
Apart from general members, our cabinet members will also be in touch
with respective clubs. We will create a system whereby each of us will stay
connected. We will use different social media platforms and continue our
newsletters and website to make all lions and officers stay informed.
3.3 Leadership Excellence
As part of our operational excellence initiative for this year, we aim to focus
on training program for all levels. District will establish a “Lions Training
Institute and Academy” with experienced team that runs different training
programs for our lions members throughout the year. The institute will
develop its annual program and schedule, which will be shared to all clubs
on time allowing them enough time to consider their interest area. The
following are the objective and focus of the institute:
