assessment we will develop projects accordingly. Most of our clubs’
expansion and membership growth are in Kathmandu valley. We have not
done good in Tarai region on clubs’ expansion and membership growth.
It is learnt that, due to lack of lions brand and images, our local clubs are
not being able to make good progress in our growth in Tarai projects.
The general people do not see lions projects impacting the communities
in great manner. Therefore, we hope brining LCIF projects in Tarai we will
be able to show the communities what lions can do help the communities.
3. OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN DISTRICT SUPPORT & DISTRICT
SECRETARIAT OPERATION
This is the first year of our District. As a new District, we need to start from
scratch. We need to set up everything -- from getting workspace to setting
up standard operating procedures for our district to make our district
vibrant and everlasting. We will also make our district accountable to the
clubs and members, making it a prompt and effective service provider for
its clubs and members. We will make our district function as a strong and
standard institution with effective systems, procedures, and norms. All our
funds shall be managed professionally with full transparency.
The following will be the focus:
Prompt and effective service and response with proper norms and
procedures;
Transparency at all levels;
Responsiveness & Accountability at all levels;
Operate as an institute .
3.1 Club Visits
District Governor will make attempt to visit every clubs. The visit will
be coordinated by respective Zone Chairperson. Zone Chairperson in
consultation with the District Governor arrange DG Club visit program.
The purpose of the visit is to:
Allow the District Governor to connect with the Club members.
Be a counsellor to further the Object of Lions Clubs among the Clubs
