1. 1 International Program (Global Causes)
Let us think about how we can make the projects we love even better. Let
us look for new ways to support our global causes because real change
starts with big ideas. Don’t shy away from taking on a big, daring project.
Be prepared to be amazed at what we can do together.
Hunger
Vision (focus on Childhood Vision Screening and Prevention)
Diabetes (Awareness, Education and Screening)
Environment
Pediatric Cancer (Childhood Cancer)
1.2 One Club One Project (permanent/signature)
To have a lasting impact, clubs need to have at least one permanent
project or at least one signature program. A project/program that brings
all members together. A permanent project will enable the clubs to have
a continuous and lasting impact in their communities. All clubs will be
encouraged to plan at least one permanent project of any nature suits
to community they work or that interest the club members. No need to
be big project/program. This can be a small project that is within clubs’
capacity.
1.3 Education
Education is a key in improving the quality of life of an individual. Therefore,
let us focus our attention to changing the life of an individual. Let’s do what
we can do to provide support to individuals or to strengthen capacity of
educational institutions.
1.3.1 Lions Melvin Jones Scholarship
District will also create a scholarship program called Lions Melvin Jones
Scholarship that supports under privileged deprived economically poor
families. The fund will be raised for the program and the interest earned
from the fund will be used to support the families. Since this year will be
first year, focus will be given in fund raising for the program. The scholarship
program shall be implemented through the clubs.
