AWARD & RECOGNITION 2022-2023

Lions Clubs International
Awards Criteria
We always accomplish more when we work together. And this year’s awards are designed to
recognize the unique strengths and talents of each district team in every constitutional area.
Please keep in mind that each Lion is only eligible to receive one President’s Award or one
President’s Leadership Award in a Lions year. If a recipient is not eligible for their award, they
may nominate another Lion who significantly contributed to the achievement.
Fast Start Charter Challenge
July 1, 2022 – August 31, 2022
We’re proud to recognize and award Lions who are dedicated to starting the year strong by
chartering new clubs. Please review the following criteria to see how you can qualify.
Qualifying Criteria
District governors and immediate past district governors of the top five districts in
each constitutional area with the most newly chartered clubs will qualify to earn
a special presidential plaque.
Club organizers of all new clubs formed will receive a Presidential Certificate of
Appreciation.
Club Retention
July 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022
January 1, 2023 – June 30, 2023
We’re proud to recognize and award Lions who focus on club health. Please review the
following criteria to see how you can qualify for one of these awards.
Qualifying Criteria
District governors of the top five districts in each constitutional area with the lowest
percentage of dropped clubs at the end of each award term will qualify to earn the
opportunity to honor a Lion of their choice with a President’s Leadership Award.
Districts with improved club retention at the end of each period will qualify to earn a
Presidential Certificate of Appreciation.

Lion and Leo Collaboration
July 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023
We’re proud to recognize and award Lions who focus on providing experience and
opportunities for leadership development to our youngest members. Please review the
following criteria to see how you can qualify for one of these awards.
Qualifying Criteria
District governors must appoint a Leo/Leo-Lion cabinet advisor by September 30,
2022 to be eligible.
